An Air India flight going from Delhi to Patna got stuck in Aurangabad on Sunday afternoon. It was fortunate that the flight was not damaged. Efforts are on to make the flight safe. The incident took place on the rail overbridge in Barun police station area on National Highway No. 19 GT Road.
According to the information, an LP truck was carrying the Air India plane from Delhi to Patna by road. Meanwhile, the main body of the flight loaded on an LP truck got stuck in the upper barricade of the ROB on the Rail Overbridge (ROB) in Barun police station area of Aurangabad on NH-19. As soon as the flight got stuck in the upper barricade of ROB, the speed of vehicles on NH got braked. Vehicular movement came to a halt and there was a jam on the NH. Due to this, people stuck in vehicles had to face problems.
Rumors spread till plane crash
Here the flight got stuck in the upper part of the ROB. On the other hand, the market of rumors became hot. Various types of discussions continued for several hours regarding this, especially in Barun. So much so that there was a lot of discussion about the plane crashing and falling on the NH. At the same time, somewhere in the discussion, as a matter of fact, there was also talk about the flight getting stuck in ROB while passing through NH. Such rumors spread across the area like wildfire within a short time. Rumors of plane crash were heard at almost every intersection in Barun area.
The flight was going from Delhi to Patna by road.
Amidst the rumours, the truth emerged that the main body of an Air India flight was being taken from Delhi to Patna by being loaded on an LP truck. Meanwhile, due to low height of the upper barricading of Barun Railway Overbridge on the way, the main part of the plane got stuck in it.
Narendra Singh, the driver of the vehicle carrying the plane, said that he had left for the next main part of the flight from Delhi Airport to Patna Airport. The parts of this Air India flight were on two different vehicles. Among these, the front part of a plane loaded on a vehicle got stuck in the upper part of the ROB.
Efforts underway to rescue stranded flight
Efforts are on to rescue a part of the flight after it got stuck in the ROB. As soon as information about the matter was received, Rajesh Kumar, officer of DFCCIL, the company making the upper barricading of the bridge, reached the spot. Their efforts to rescue the stuck plane have been intensified. He told that the height of the barricade above the road is 7.5 meters. It is designed as per the capacity of the road. Heavy items have got stuck here before also. He said that they are busy in removing the parts of the plane stuck in the bridge. Soon we will be successful in this.
